A unit LiDAR appears to be mounted on the roof, signaling Xiaomi's intention to package the YU9 with the latest advanced driver assistance systems.
The YU9 expected to have one 1.5 liter turbocharged engine, which is said to originate from the Dong'an Power, which will serve as a generator to extend the range. This generator will power the battery which in turn will power a dual-motor system with all-wheel drive capability.
There is no information yet on the vehicle's performance, but everything indicates that it will have combined power over 400 horsepower, allowing her acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5 seconds.
The YU9 is expected to be a real autonomy monster as it will be able to travel over 200 kilometers solely on battery, while with the range extender will be able to push the total combined range of 1.500 km in the circle CLTC.
