Xiaomi has now officially confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi 17Ultra will also be available in a special Leica version with natural rotary zoom ring
This move further strengthens the long-term Xiaomi's collaboration with Leica, with the company signaling a deeper level of collaboration this time around.
The announcement was accompanied by a poster showing the phone's packaging finished in black and bearing the Xiaomi and Leica branding. The caption on the packaging refers to a "upgrading the strategic cooperation», indicating the closer joint development of the devices.
Compared to the regular version, this special edition of Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will be accompanied by what the company calls “Master Zoom Ring“. As the name suggests, it will be a physical rotating ring that will surround the entire camera module.
