Xiaomi launched the following in China today: Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which were presented at the same event as its smartphones Xiaomi 17 series
Both Xiaomi Tablets feature 11.2 inch LCD screen with 3.2K resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, adaptive refresh rate in 144 Hz, support at Dolby Vision and certification TUV Rheinland for low blue light emission.
There is also Soft Light Edition of the device that uses a special nano-texture coating AG + AR on screen, to reduce reflectivity by 70%, while both devices have a full metal unibody, with thickness of only 5,75 mm and weight at 485 grams.
The Pad 8 is equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC of Qualcomm, while the Pad 8 Pro uses it Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, supporting smooth Gaming, heavy PC-level workloads, large spreadsheets, and high-resolution video work.
Both Xiaomi Tablets are powered by a battery at 9200 mAh. It Pad 8 supports charging on 45 W and can offer video playback that reaches up to 9.3 hours after a full charge, while the Pad 8 Pro offers fast charging to 67 W with video playback lasting up to 10.5 hours.

Both devices “run” the Xiaomi's HyperOS 3, with adaptive interface, dynamic widgets, artificial intelligence wallpapers, split-screen multitasking, 9-grid workstation layout, desktop-level applications (WPS, CAJViewer, ZWCAD), wireless secondary display support, file transfer between Apple platforms, and the Assistant Great Xiao Ai.
