A new leak suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 and Civi 6 that were expected to be released next year may have already been canceled
Xiaomi introduced the Mix Flip 2, a foldable flip phone, and the Civic 5 Pro earlier this year in China. Initial reports indicated that both of these devices, with the latter being renamed to Xiaomi 15 Civi, may become available on the global market.
While Xiaomi recently presented us with the new flagship of the series Xiaomi 15t for the global market, however, there has been no official update regarding the global arrival of Mix Flip 3 and 15 Civi, suggesting that the launch of these devices in markets other than China may have been canceled.
Now, a new leak suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 and Civi 6, which were expected to be released next year, may have already been canceled.
Xiaomi Mix 3, Civi 6 may not be released in 2026
A famous Chinese tipster hinted that one of Xiaomi's small foldable phones and a mid-range model may not be released on the global market in 2026, as according to the post, the sales performance of the current versions of the devices was not satisfactory, resulting in Xiaomi stopping their development for an entire generation.
Although the tipster did not mention any specific model names, it is speculated that the devices in question could be the Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 and Xiaomi Civi 6, which were originally expected to debut in 2026. The Mix Flip 2, Xiaomi's first Flip foldable Smartphone, reportedly did not sell well despite its premium design and competitive price, while the Civil 5 it also struggled to gain a significant market share in the mid-range.
This development is surprising as the supposed Xiaomi Mix Flip 3, with model numbers 2603APX0AC / 2603EPX2DC, has already been detected in IMEI database in July of this year, so perhaps the rumors circulating about the fate of the Mix Flip 3 and Civi 6 to have no relation to reality.
Let's also remember that Xiaomi presented the foldable Mix Fold 4 last year in China, but skipped its release Mix Fold 5 for this year. However, a recent entry in the IMEI database, revealed that Xiaomi may release a book-style foldable smartphone in 2026, which will likely be available under the name Xiaomi 17 Fold instead Mix Fold 6.
