The global market for wearable devices is booming, and the Xiaomi confirmed as the absolute leader in the industry
According to the latest report published by the analytics company Omdia, in the second quarter of 2025 global shipments of Smart Bands reached 50.2 million units, with a year-on-year increase of 13%.

Xiaomi stood out as the manufacturer with the highest growth and largest shipment volume in this device category, surpassing its historical competitors such as Huawei, Apple, Samsung, but also the Indian brand Noise.
Xiaomi's success is mainly due to two key products: the Mi Band and on REDMI Band, which continue to enjoy great recognition thanks to the excellent value for money, advanced health monitoring capabilities and deep integration with HyperOS, Xiaomi's proprietary ecosystem operating system.

In detail, Xiaomi recorded annual growth of 61%, a percentage that places it clearly ahead of Huawei and Samsung, which are also growing, while Apple fell 1% in shipments, an indication of possible saturation of the premium category.

The report also highlights a structural change in the market: we are moving from a hardware-based model to an ecosystem-based model, where user engagement and digital services become central.
In China, Xiaomi is capitalizing on this trend, leveraging its vast product portfolio and the smart connectivity it offers. HyperOS, to create integrated experiences between Smart Bands, smartphones, home appliances and other IoT devices.
