HyperOS 3.1: This is the list of 35 Xiaomi devices, POCO & Redmi that will not receive the update

January 2026 brings the release of Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 which is built on Android 16


Its new version Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.1 is packed with groundbreaking AI enhancements to the device, offering smoother multitasking, live updates and full integration of “AI-Native"which is designed to more effectively utilize modern Neural Processing Units (NPU).

The HyperOS 3.1 Xiaomi aims to make your devices faster and smarter and transform the overall user experience for the better, but unfortunately, about 35 popular models from Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO they will not be able to receive the update.

The Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.1 is designed to be smarter, faster and more intuitive. Why some beloved Xiaomi devices are missing HyperOS 3.1

    • Note 12 Turbo, Note 12T Pro
    • Note 13 5G, Note 13R Pro
  • Additional devices (which will remain in HyperOS 2:

    • Redmi Note 13 4G (and NFC)
    • Xiaomi 12t
    • Redmi Note 12 (4G/NFC/ S/R)
    • Redmi 12 (and 5G)
    • Redmi 13C (and 5G)
    • Redmi 13R

In total, in the above list there are 35 Xiaomi devices which will remain in HyperOS 2.x or in the current HyperOS 3.0.

No need to panic: 

If your device is on this list, take a deep breath! This is not a death sentence for your phone. Xiaomi is committed to providing monthly security patches for the rest of the support cycles of these devices (usually 3-4 years from launch).

The above devices will also continue to receiveComplete Google Play Services updatesPractically, most users will still enjoy a secure and fully functional system for at least another 1-2 years.

Who will be able to enjoy Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1?

The first to get stable and global beta versions will be the latest flagships.
