Xiaomi has finally released the Desktop Speaker Pro Set in Singapore, while it is expected to soon make its appearance in Europe
It has been almost two months since Xiaomi registered the Desktop Speaker Pro Set on its global website. While the listing indicated that Xiaomi planned to release the device globally, it did not reveal when that would happen.
Xiaomi equips the Desktop Speaker Pro Set with four speaker drivers that tilt 53° upwards to maximize sound diffusion in the space.
The wireless subwoofer has one speaker driver with a diameter of 96 mm and is connected through the 2,4 GHz to minimize latency. The Desktop Speaker Pro Set also supports connectivity via a headphone port 3,5mm, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 5.3 with special 3,5 mm microphone jack.
Starting from the Singapore market, the Desktop Speaker Pro Set sold at 139 SGD (~ $ 109) with the wireless subwoofer included. In other words, the new version costs 70 SGD (~ $ 55) more than the typical desktop speaker and twice as much as the Sound Outdoor (about $ 52.99 on Amazon) but also 90 SGD (~ $ 70) less than Soundbar Pro 2.1ch.
It is very likely Desktop Speaker Pro Set to be available in other markets soon with a price tag of less than £100 or €115 in the Eurozone (. $ 135).
