The Xiaomi 17Ultra finally entered the DxOMark Top 10 Smartphone ranking
As expected, the Xiaomi 17Ultra It is now among the top phones with the best cameras on the market right now. However, Xiaomi still has some work to do to get the device to the top of the leaderboard.

In accordance with DxOMark, the Xiaomi 17Ultra write down 166 points for his camera, placing it on the 6th place overall.
The DxOMark says the device offers a well-balanced photo across all focal lengths. From ultra-wide-angle shots to telephoto zoom, performance is consistent.
The lab also highlights natural subject exposure, rich detail, and consistent white balance in most scenes. Color reproduction is also described as accurate, along with controlled noise, even in challenging low-light conditions.
The Xiaomi 17Ultra It ranks among the top 10 phones according to DxOMark and the hardware, of course, plays a big role here. The phone features a main camera at 50MP with diaphragm f / 1.7, focal length 23 mm, phase detection autofocus dual-pixel and optical image stabilization.

There is also an extremely wide-angle camera at 50MP in f / 2.2 and 14 mmWhat stands out on paper is the telephoto lens at 200MP, which offers variable aperture f/2.4–3.0, focal length 75--100mm, PDAF, OIS and 3.2x to 4.3x optical zoom.
The DxOMark gave to the device 170 points for overall photography performance. Breaking this down further, the main camera earned 171 points, the bokeh scored 175 points, the ultra-wide scored 160 points, and the zoom scored 169 points.
The telephoto lens performance, in particular, is said to be high-end, offering strong detail at longer focal lengths and natural background separation in portrait shots.
The video, however, is where the Xiaomi 17Ultra presents some limitations. The overall video rating is 157 pointsThe main camera's video performance scored 164 points, while the ultra-wide and telephoto video results were lower at 144 and 132 points, respectively.

The DxOMark It notes that while brightness and exposure are generally good indoors and outdoors, low-light video still struggles more than the best devices in its class. Zoom transitions while recording video can also seem noticeable.
There are a few other trade-offs, too, like group photos can sometimes result in foreground subjects appearing slightly out of focus. And while texture and noise are well-balanced in photos, low-light video doesn't maintain the same consistency.
As for competition, the Xiaomi 17Ultra did not exceed Huawei Pura 80 Ultra at the top of the rankings. However, it managed to beat many high-profile devices, including Magic 8 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
