Xiaomi has finally released the Xiaomi 17 and global markets, at an event held in Barcelona
The phone was previously introduced in China and now this device is also becoming available in Europe along with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone.
Xiaomi's technical specifications
The Xiaomi 17 has OLED M6.3 LTPO 10-inch display with a resolution of 2656 x 1220 pixels and variable refresh rate in 1 120-HzIt has extremely narrow bezels on the 1.18 millimeters, maximum brightness 3500 nits and supports the HDR10 + and Dolby Vision. The screen is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass for improved durability.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 which is based on a 3nm manufacturing process and combined with Adreno GPU 840. The phone has 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and is available in storage options in 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1Xiaomi has integrated a 3D IceLoop VC cooling system to maintain performance during demanding tasks.
The phone is running HyperOS 3 of Xiaomi based on Android 16The operating system includes functions such as AI Writing, AI Search and dynamic wallpapers. Xiaomi 17 also supports the assistant Google's Gemini AI, which enhances productivity by enabling integration across applications and providing creative tools such as image creation.
For photography, the phone features a Leica triple camera setup on the back, which includes main camera at 50MP with the sensor Light Fusion 1/1.31 950 inchwith Hyper OIS and f/1.67 aperture for detailed and bright photos. The phone also features a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 102° field of view and one 50MP telephoto camera with optical zoom 2.6x and macro photography capabilities.
The front Selfie camera has been upgraded to 50MP sensor with autofocusIt supports 4K video recording at 60fps and offers high-quality selfies with natural skin tones and detailed bokeh effects.
The Xiaomi 17 is fed by a silicon-carbon battery at 6330 mAhXiaomi claims that the battery ensures all-day use and retains 80% health after 1,600 charge cycles. The phone supports wired charging at 100W and awired charging at 50W. It also offers reverse charging at 22,5 W for compatible devices.
The phone has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and IP68 Rating certification for water and dust resistance. Supports 5G SA / NSA mobile phone networks, the Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFCThe device includes USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port for fast data transfer and Hi-Res certified audio.
Pricing and Availability
Xiaomi has priced the model at 12GB + 256GB at 999 euros ($1,180), while the version with 12GB + 512GB costs 1099 euros ($1,299).
Xiaomi 17 is available in colors Alpine Pink, Ice Blue, Black and Venture Green and is already circulating in several European countries.
