Η Tesla continues to lose market share in mainland China in February, with its sales decline more than 50%
Η TESLA delivered in total 30.688 electric vehicles of Model 3 and Model Y in Shanghai last month, recording a decrease of 51,5% compared to January and 49,2% compared to the previous year, according to data from China Passenger Automobile Association (CPCA) published today. The number of sales recorded by TESLA was also the lowest since a total of 28.217 vehicles were delivered in July 2022.

Nationwide, about 720.000 electric vehicles were delivered in February 2025, down 3% from January 2025, according to the CPCA.

Η Xpeng with its registered office Guangzhou delivered in total 30.453 electric vehicles last month, an increase of 0,3% from January and 570% from the previous year.
Η BYD, which is currently the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world, sold a total of 322.846 units in February, an increase of 7,4% from the previous month and 164% from the previous year.

While also the SU7 by Xiaomi, is now a threat to the Model 3 by Tesla, impressing customers with its style, performance and technology.
Last December, Xiaomi sold 25.815 SU7 compared to 21.046 units for the Model 3, according to the CPCA.
