Xiaomi has finally released a new smartwatch internationally with optional NFC, now available in Europe and Southeast Asia
The redmi watch 6 also has over 150 pre-installed sports modes, GNSS location services and a large AMOLED screen which is said to offer more than 2,000 nits of maximum brightness.
Xiaomi quietly released the Redmi Watch 6 and Redmi Watch 6 NFC internationally, while the company said last week that a global launch would take place soon. A little earlier, the Redmi Watch 6 NFC It appeared in Hungarian retailers with the same hardware as the Chinese version of the watch, which became available in China more than five months earlier.
Now, Xiaomi has officially started sales of the series redmi watch 6 and to Poland, Romania and Thailand. Replacing the Redmi Watch 5, the redmi watch 6 combines 2.07-inch AMOLED display with 2,000 nits maximum brightness, while it is powered by a battery at 550 mAh which offers autonomy up to 24 days between charges. In addition, the smartwatch supports location services GNSS and is preloaded with more than 150 sports functions.
Furthermore, Xiaomi clarifies that the Redmi Watch 6 NFC supports tap-to-pay with the cards Mastercard and Visa and other local banks that exist by country. Unfortunately, its website, which should list all participating banks, returns a 404 error at the time of publication.
Prices and availability
The Redmi Watch 6 NFC is only available in Poland currently for PLN 499 (~ $ 137), an 11% increase over its non-NFC sibling. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed when the Redmi Watch 6 NFC will arrive in other markets and Greece.
