Xiaomi silently revealed the Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition as a more affordable variant of the Redmi Book 14 for the domestic Chinese market
Last January, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 9 in China. Redmi Book 14 2025 and redmi book 16 together with the Smartphone Redmi Turbo 4, and now Xiaomi has silently revealed the new Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition as an affordable variant for the domestic Chinese market. The specifications of the Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition
The Redmi Book 14 (2025) Refreshed Edition replaces the processor Intel Core 5-210H which is in the standard version with a Intel Core i5-13420HThis processor has eight cores, included four powerful cores and four energy-efficient cores, along with twelve threads. The processor achieves maximum turbo frequency at 4.6GHz and features 12MB Intel Smart Cache. The built-in graphics IntelUHD come with 48 units of execution and frequency in 1.4GHz, and provide basic graphics performance.
One of the most significant changes is to the display. While the typical Redmi Book 14 (2025) comes with a high-resolution 2.5K display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, the Refreshed Edition degrades to 14-inch display with 1920 × 1200 resolution (WUXGA) and at a rate of renewal at 60 Hz.The screen still supports however 100% color gamut in sRGB and features a dedicated anti-glare panel, but users who prioritize a smoother refresh rate and sharper resolution may consider this a forced compromise due to price.
The laptop works with Windows 11 and features 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB PCIe SSD storage. It has battery at 56Wh and supports the USB-C fast charging at 100W, which can charge the device up to 50% in about 35 minutes.
In terms of connectivity, it has HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB-C port that supports charging and data transfer and 3.5mm headphone jack. Supports the Wi-Fi 6 dual band and Bluetooth 5.2 for seamless wireless connectivity. The metal body keeps it lightweight in 1,37 Kg. and includes illuminated keyboard together with dual speakers tuned with DTS.
Prices and availability
Its updated version Redmi Book 14 (2025) costs 3,499 yuan (~ $ 483 / € 444), while with a state subsidy of 20% in China, the final price will drop to around 2.719 yuan (~ $ 376 / € 345). Redmi's new Notebook is scheduled to be released in China on 24 March.
