Xiaomi: Pioneers in Indian market growth in third quarter, with Realme growing fastest

Η Counterpoint Research published its analysis of 3rd quarter of 2019 concerning the sales of smartphones in Indian market.

ΠDespite the global slowdown, India also managed to set a new shipping record with 49 million units sold in total.

According to analysts, the significant expansion of the portfolio of leading companies just before the Diwali holiday season, which is often associated with discounts on various products, is one of the main factors that contributed to the new record of high sales this season.

It seems that Chinese companies, such as Xiaomi, vivo and Realme, made the most of the shopping frenzy for Q3 this year.

Xiaomi continues to lead the Indian market with a share of 26%, despite declining by 1 percentage point on an annual basis, while Samsung is in second place with a market share of 20% - down 3 percentage points year on year.

Η Vivo and Realme recorded the largest growth compared to Q2018 7 with growth of 13 and 5 units, respectively. Realme's numbers are particularly impressive, as it means the new company has expanded its market share more than XNUMX times and increased its net shipments by six times.
