This durable smartwatch isn't just a minor upgrade over the plain Black Shark GS3 released in May 2024, but it's a complete overhaul designed to cause.
With its enhanced design, premium materials and impressive features, the GS3 Ultra It is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and durable smartwatches of 2025.
The new GS3 Ultra still uses the same 1.43 inch AMOLED screen with clear analysis in 466 × 466 pixels, but now it's protected in a stronger metal frame with four bulky buttons that look like they came out of a gaming accessory.
The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass with hardness rating 9H, while in terms of adaptability, there are approximately 270 watch faces to choose the one that suits you.
It's too hard to "die"
Where this new Black Shark smartwatch really excels is in its durability. In addition to being water resistant in 5 ATMs (50 meters depth), the GS3 Ultra also available IP69K Rating certification — the same category used for heavy-duty industrial equipment. This means the watch can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. In other words: drop it, splash it, bury it in the sand, and it’ll be fine.
In terms of health and fitness monitoring, it has more than 160 sports functions, including automatic detection for common workouts like running or rowing. It also tracks your 24/7 your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), stress and sleep in multiple stages, and has the ability to record even your short naps.
The Black Shark also has upgraded dual-band GPS receivers (L1 + L5) and support for all satellite networks around the world, such as: BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and NavIc of India. Phone calls can be received via Bluetooth, with the help of ENC noise reduction technology, you will have no problem conversing even on the busiest and noisiest street.
Impressive autonomy
Perhaps the most impressive spec of this smartwatch is its battery life. The Black Shark claims up to 18 days of battery life in typical use and up to 45 days in Ultra-Long Standby mode.
Although the exact battery capacity has not been revealed, the company says the watch is powered by "high density batteries» that are specifically designed for this model. If these claims are true, then the GS3 Ultra could have perhaps the best battery life on the market.
Pricing and availability
The GS3 Ultra becomes available on black or silver color with the same aggressive gamer-style appearance, but so far the pricing and release date in Europe are not known.
It is expected to be available initially in the Chinese market through platforms such as JD.com and its Tmall, and will later make its global debut perhaps at a special event.
