Heavy "bells" totaling 2,22 million euro drops it Ministry of Development in 14 companies and chains of companies, identified by the audit services as advertising misleading discounts in this year's Black Friday
The Ministry of Development made public the first names companies in which the legal process has been completed. In particular, the 5 companies in which the legal procedure has been completed, the fines are as follows:
- 500.000 euros – KOSMOS SPORT S.A.
- 400.000 euros – ATTIC DEPARTMENT STORES, anonyme sole proprietorship
- 300.000 euros – LA VIE EN ROSE by Dimitra Katsafadou, a company manufacturing and trading cosmetic products
- 200.000 euros – NOTOS COM CONTRIBUTIONS, an anonymous commercial and industrial company
- 55.000 euros – SNEAKERS MARKET
In the remaining 9 companies - the Ministry of Development points out - the process of notifying them is pending and their details will be published immediately afterwards. In two cases the fines are below 50.000 euros, in which case their names will not be announced as the law stipulates.
In particular, from the operation of the digital tool for identifying misleading discounts used by the audit services of the Ministry of Development 14 companies have been identified which in recent weeks have made misleading discounts.
Pursuant to it article 9j of Law 2251/1994 a total fine is imposed 2.220.000 euro.
In Article 13a the publication of the specific companies is foreseen, as long as the fine is more than 50.000 euro.
