Η AGON by AOC – the world’s leading gaming monitor brand – announces the G42, a new series of gaming monitors in its entry-level category AOC GAMING
The models that will be released with the new series are: 23,8 inch (60,5 cm) 24G42, the 24,5 inch (62,2 cm) 25G42 and its 27 inch (68,6 cm) 27G42, which are equipped with Fast IPS panel latest generation, while offering renewal rates 180 Hz and response times up to 1 ms GtG, making competitive gaming performance more accessible than ever.

Today, thanks to the G42 series, gamers don't have to settle for screens below 180 Hz, three times the common 60 Hz.
Making high performance the new standard
Building on the success of the G4 series from AOC GAMING, which includes the fully ergonomic G4X models and the limited editions G4XE, the new G42 series further simplifies the formula to bring gaming to 180 Hz to an even wider audience.
Each model has a screen Almost IPS with analysis Full HD (1920 × 1080) to run high frame rates easily even with low-end or mid-range graphics cards, delivering smooth graphics with response times of up to 1ms GtG and 0,5ms MPRT (using the function Motion Blur Reduction – MBRThe panels excel not only in speed but also in visual quality, having a gamut coverage (CIE 1976) of over 90% of the color space DCI-P3 and 120% of the scale area sRGB (CIE 1976), while maintaining the excellent response time characteristics, wide viewing angles (178° horizontal/178° vertical) and motion clarity of the latest generation of IPS panel technology.

Focusing on the essentials
The G42 monitor series maintains key gaming features, such as shadow control for better visibility in dark scenes, the Game Colour presets for adjusting colour saturation, the Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) for increased perceived motion clarity and the built-in Dial Point crosshair, which helps gamers aim in demanding, immersive games without in-game crosshairs.
To toggle these settings and other features, the OSD menu is accessible via the built-in buttons, as well as via the software G-Menu. The screens support the technology Adaptive-Sync for tear-free gaming with graphics cards AMD and Nvidia and are also compatible with next-generation consoles in resolution 1080p/120Hz.
Each model features an ergonomic, esports-inspired stand with tilt adjustment (-5°/23°) and compatibility with VESA mount 100×100 to save space. Connectivity includes 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x HDMI 2.0, offering flexibility for both PC and console gaming. With a maximum brightness of 300 nits and support HDR10, the displays deliver vivid graphics across all types of games, while improving usability in well-lit environments. They also feature a 3,5mm audio jack, allowing for easy connection of gaming headsets or external speakers directly to the display.
A model for every setting
Η G42 series offers three different sizes that correspond to different gaming and setup preferences:
- The 24G42 with a 23,8-inch screen offers a classic competitive gaming format, with the highest pixel density for extra clarity
- The 25G42 It has a 24,5-inch screen, which matches the most common size in esports, combining a good balance of screen size and clarity.
- The 27G42 provides a larger 27-inch display for larger offices while maintaining an affordable price
Price and availability
The AOC GAMING 24G42E, 25G42E and 27G42E will be available from February of 2025 at their suggested retail price €149, €159 and €169 respectively.
