Are ROMs available with Android 16 for Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro, for those who want to participate in the Beta Testing Developer Preview program
The Android 16 Developer Preview Schedule provides all the features needed to improve compatibility and development of the next version of Android.
At the moment, only the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14t pro are available for the Developer Preview Program in Android 16, which is free for developers to use.
You can install this version on your device and use it immediately.
Upgrade methods:
Method 1: Local update (Recovery Mode)
Note: you must upgrade to the latest version of ROM that supports the transition to Android 16 Beta version.
- Xiaomi 15: you should have it OS2.0.109.0.VOCMIXM or later version.
- Xiaomi 14T Pro: you should have it OS2.0.103.0.VNNMIXM or later version.
- This upgrade method will erase all contents of your phone. Make sure you have backed up your data beforehand.
- Download Android 16 Beta version for Xiaomi 15 from HERE and for Xiaomi 14T Pro from HERE
- Copy the ROM upgrade package to your phone's storage.
- Go to Settings -> About phone -> Click on “Operating system version” 10 times, then turn on the programmer function.
- Return to Settings -> About phone -> Click on the system icon -> Click on the “with the three dots” in the upper right corner -> Select “Select update package” to enter, and after selecting the correct ROM upgrade package, your device will begin the upgrade.

Method 2: Update via FastBoot
1. Make sure you have successfully applied for bootloader unlock permission before unlocking the device.
The unlocking the bootloader on Xiaomi's HyperOS carries various security risks and may have unpredictable effects on the device. Applying for an unlock means that you fully understand the potential risks associated with unlocking and installing the ROM, and are willing to assume those risks.

2. Don't forget to back up your data before upgrading to Android 16 Beta.
3. Download the FastBoot version on Android 16 Beta for Xiaomi 15 from HERE and Xiaomi 14T Pro from HERE.
4. To opt into the Android 16 beta, follow the instructions for Fastboot Update.
If you want to opt out or return to factory settings, you can try FastBoot mode:
- step 1: Turn off the device.
- Step 2: Press the volume down button and the power button simultaneously for 4-5 seconds to enter the Fastboot function.
